Hermes Iris Ukiyoe (because I'm nearing the end of my atomiser -- is this true love? :O) and Osmanthe Yunnan (likewise, because this needs dousing on)
Chanel 28 La Pausa (because I aint lugging my 200ml monster around anymore)
Guerlain Rouge G Girly
Burberry Pearl Grey and Rosewood (swapper's remorse)
Burberry was a newish addition to Terminal 3, although they don't seem to have the full range, and were out of stock of some popular things (Blush lipstick, Blossom blush).
I also noticed some Tom Ford makeup testers out, although the line is not yet officially for sale. (I'm guessing early Oct, in line with the official roll-out beyond Selfridges/Harrods).
On arrival, I swung by Sasa to pick up a few essentials. Somehow this entailed wandering into Facesss (glorious one-stop beauty shop) for a quick warm-up haul at Esprique...
Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover
Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus
Koji liquid liner (I've never tried this but was attracted by the extremely fine tip. Think original KATE super-sharp fine :D)
Mandom Beauty Barrier Repair super moist masks (because airplanes = skin dooooom)
Cure Natural Aqua Gel (the new wonder exfoliator, we'll see)
Esprique Blend Dimensional Eyes Deep B-5 and Mellow Forming Rouge Color BE321
Shu Mascara Basic -- which has now been renamed to Ultimate Natural Mascara and repackaged)
Allure Korea (which came with a full size Laura Mercier lip glaze)
Voce Japan Nov 2011
Close-ups of the quad (silky, buttery, pigmented) and lipstick (bloody GORGEOUS, like a more pigmented, less slippery version of Dior Serum de Rouge)
Swatches all one-swipe on bare arm in artificial light + flash
A few rambly thoughts which would've been tweeted if I had a twitter account:
Swatched the new Lunasol quads(8pans?) The testers had been very well-loved before I got to them which may be why they were extremely buttery, quite pigmented and not extremely glittery. Far less so than the 'fresh' swatches on the Asian blogosphere :D I also found it easy to pick up just one stripe in the three-pans (so you genuinely do get a choice between glitter, satin and matte highlight and lining shades). Now to decide between 03 and 05...
Played with the new Chanel fdtn: Vitalumiere Hydra (a cream-to-powder marketed for dry skin). B10 was a little bit paler than B10 in Vitalumiere Aqua (so around NC15) but also extremely yellow. And very drying on my hand.
Likewise the new Shu Face Architect Smooth Fit foundation (which replaces FA Smoothing). It felt quite similar and is recommended for normal/combo skin. 784 ran true-to-shade compared with FA Illuminating.
Cellbone displays in various drugstores -- everything, from the product names, a quick ingredients skim, down to the packaging, seemed very similar to SkinCeuticals. If anyone who's reading has any info, I'd love to hear it!
What a terrific warm up haul! Can't wait to see the rest.

ReplyDeleteLove you all muchly and I hope to be a good little pr0n provider :*****
oh voce :D was thinking about that one this month, but bought biteki instead. how do you like your burberry e/s?
ReplyDeleteClaire, I think you made the right choice lol. This Voce had nothing in it, it's almost getting to be as bad as US Allure.
ReplyDeleteI like Burberry e/s muchly -- these are both satiny, medium-pigmented and smooth as silk. The textures of all their powder products rock IMO.
